We got up rather early and had a long breakfast with Liv and Svein before we packed all our stuff and picked up a bag for Camilla at Solhov. She had went skiing but we have a long way home. First stop was Bardufoss to try some climbing routes at one of the gyms and then we were invited for dinner. We couldn't stay very long since I need to get on the last bus from Svolvær.

Today was a long day...

 

 

 

 

 

Today we had a full program with information, selection of new board, lectures, discussions, lunch, lecture about two girls climbing Store Blåmann and final banquet. Me and Gertti were joining the Tromsø-table. The are the ones that are hosting this year. It was fun but at 11 pm we were tired. Since we had been here all day. As we came back "home" our hosts had dinner guests and wanted us to come up for some cake and socialize. But we were both too tired and had been hanging out with so many people all day...

This morning we had breakfast with Liv and Svein. Bags were already packed, just added sandwiches and hot water then we are good to go. There were three or four different destinations with variety of difficulty. Me and Gertti joined for Storhaugen. On board the ferry we had a look a the map and went through the route. Then we tested the avalanche transceivers for battery, sending and searching signal before everyone continued. It started snowing and then the visibility got worse, we were probably halfway up to summit but then we split the group some of us turned around and some continued. As we went down we could hardly see anything, for a while there was whiteout which made it difficult. But then the sky opened again and the sun bursted out. It was powder in the woods just before we came down. The ferry back was also totally crowded (mostly from skiers). Then we had dinner and full program.

I took the bus straight from work to Svolvær where Gertti was waiting and we drove towards Lyngen.
We were also invited for coffee in Bardufoss so we had a short stop there before we had to continue.

Today me and Andrej went to visit Walter who has built his own microhouse 7 years ago. it's not actually as small as I thought since it's 35 squaremetres first floor and also above but since the roof is oblique it counts for less space and it is registered as an annex. He actually built this house for his brother who lives south but got very sick and came here for a long treatment. But then he actually got well again so it is a happy story. Nobody uses it nowadays so his daughter is going to use it for airbnb. It was interesting. Walter was a happy fellow and talked a lot even though he is also undergoing a chemoterapy treatment.
