Vindstad.
Sunday morning. It was windy and cold. We had some time to kill before the boat would arrive so we just walked around in Vindstad and then stayed at the waiting room where we met an american girl. It was a great adventure but I was tired and cold to the core so in the end it was good to get home and take a hot shower.

Petter and Kathinka did another hike since they were going back today with the boat. But we went up to Storskiva. We were thinking of camping on the summit but the wind was really strong and I was feeling weak so left my backpack halfway up. We'll just have to come back when it's less windy.

Heading for Vindstad

It's friday. Petter and Kathinka picked me up and we drove to Reine where we met Cody and Per. We had time for a beer just before the boat left. Then we walked to the pass to find a place to sleep. We had fire next to a big rock. The night was very windy.

Today weather was nice so we decided to go climbing. We met Trond in Saupstad. I really wanted to try the route that Andreas bolted and since Haakon is going to get the first lead we aid climbed it and then we could try it on top rope. It was fine but a bit hard.

Back in Skjelfjord.
Lucky me, I was invited for vegan sushi at the old house in Skjelfjord friday night. Saturday we went to Sørvågen meeting with Merete and Per. We hiked up to Trolldalsvatnet and started rowing to the end of the lake which took us a little more than an hour I think. It was quite cold today, at least until the sun came up. Routefinding took some time and already at one o'clock M and P wanted to turn around. They were afraid we wouldn't make it down before dark. I think it was way too early to turn. We had several hours of light ahead but then we didn't bring any tent (otherwise we could have stayed  and walked out) so no peak this time. I will have to come back here again.

A sad day

"Denne heim er meg kjær
som den beste paa jord.
Han mitt hjärta er nær,
denne fjetrande fjord,
og det maalande fjell
og den straalande kveld,
hugen leikar paa deim. (Elias Blix)"

But with a nice ending in the spirit of Andreas. Maja stayed over at my place and we met Kjartan in Leknes then we drove to Kabelvåg. The church was crowded. I was crying. The parents of Hakon were also there. And everyone else. Afterwards a few of us went to Henningsvær to the cafe since we didn't just wanna go home yet. After that we had a short bouldering session. This is what he would want us to do a nice autumn day like this.

Maja

Maja came to visit from Hamarøy where she now lives. We went to Skrådalstind, the small one and then we went to look at the last rout Andreas bolted which was on this rock. He only bolted it and never climbed it and gave it a name so I will ask if his dad want's to do the first climb. Then we went to my place and made pizza! And tomorrow it's time to start working again...
