Moltinden

 

Weather this weekend was supposed to be really bad, so I had a slow morning with homemade scones and coffee. Then I got a call from Svein-Tore and we decided to explore a new peak.

Borgvær

 

 

 

 

It was a bit cold today. Me and Gyda packed the kayaks and left from Evjen to Borgvær. We had campfire and northern lights. Tomorrow we will explore the island.

Monday

Lucie was supposed to leave today but the weather forecast said storm and heavy rain in Nordland and especially over Saltfjell. So she picked me up after work and we tried to make a short run / hike on Haugheia but the wind was really strong and rain also quite heavy already so mostly we got we and then went home. No swim today. Lucie is all packed and leaving tomorrow....I think.

Today there is a food festival in Leknes. Every year the climbing club is offering kids to try climbing.  So today we only did a short hike to Eltofttuva. We met this guy who wanted some helping taking down the sheep, but we didn't have much time since we had to be at the climbing gym in half an hour.  But we met someone else who promised to help. Then we went there belaying the kids and then we had a quick swim at the beach in Vik. Then home to make dinner.

Weather forecast was not the best, but we had to get out and I wanted Lucie to see Kvalvika so we went there and then met a young adventurer in the cabin (which is somewhat damaged nowadays) then Lucie went swimming in the ocean and then we hiked up Ryten. Then the heavy rain came as we went back down. We said goodbye to Kjell Arne and Lucie went swimming at Ramberg beach. I did not.

Friday13th swim

Today Lucie was going to leave and drive back south...but she couldn't. I got a message when I was at work; can I stay over the weekend? I am not ready to leave Lofoten. What a joy! So we went for a swim at Storsandnes. It was very cold and windy today so I was close to not doing it but it's such a good feeling afterwards. And I made Lucie go in twice so that I could take a photo...

Life is good

 

Campfire, northern lights and good friends. The simple life.

Today I went home after work and Lucie came home later from hiking and swimming. Then we went to Unstad where we met with Tommy and Kjell-Arne. We had some food and some wood. The sunset was wonderful as well as the company. Then came also the green light dancing for Lucie. It was strong tonight so I am glad she could see this before going home.

Happy shining tuesday

It was a cold but beautiful morning.  We were sitting outside on the rock while eating breakfast and in our sleeping bags to watch the amazing view. Then we packed the camp and headed back down the valley.
