Time for a break.
We met the Alfa adventurer.
Proud of myself today.

Today we drove from Kjøpsvik to Narvik and went up towards Spanstind which is over 1400 m. Me and Cody turned down just before 1200 m since last part looked steep and hard. Nothing for beginners so better be safe. It was a beautiful day and the sun was almost warming. We met Andreas, the Alfa adventurer. Then we waited for the others to come down and drove to Evenes airport where we said goodbye to Anne Marit and Sigvald who were flying back south. We also said goodbye to Martin who is driving in his own car (without heater) but we'll see him again in Lofoten once more before he departs.

The others behind us.
Lovely day.
Suddenly we are in the ditch...
Cody and the old man...
I think this is where the old man lives.
Stuck again....
At the end of the tractor road.
Approach can be dangerous. Photo: Cody
No visibility whatsoever.
We are in denial but decide to turn...
Winter wonderland.
Heading down.
As we came down the sky cleared...
Back at the road. Photo: Sigvald

Martin.
I guess we will have to come back...
Ferry back to Kjøpsvik.
Banquet.
Today we wanted to climb Tilthornet. We had breakfast 06.30 as usual, then packed all gear and left for the ferry. Lucky for us we me Arn Finn who had a scooter which would make the approach a lot faster than skis. Even though we got stuck and ended up in the ditch, but what an adventure! From where he left us we just headed up in really deep snow. We thought the sky would clear up to make it easier to navigate but it just stayed white except for a short moment so we decided that we should turn down. No point in getting up there without visibility which is part of the fun and also we would probably be late for the banquet. But it's a beautiful mountain...when you can see it. So I wish to come back again later.

Dinner back at the Hotel
Starting with breakfast at 06.30. Today I think we had too big ambitions going to Presttind. It was snowing and windy. In between we could hardly see anything. I crashed some times on my way down. In deep powder and more focused in avoiding all the trees than doing my turns right. Later in the afternoon the weather cleared and it was really beautiful.
