Today we finally climbed Stjerntind. It took us 10.5 hours from Ytre Skjelfjord and back.

Visit from Sweden

Today I had visit from Martin whom I didn't see since we were in Russia to climb Elbrus 2010. He came with a friend and his son traveling in a caravan. It was a really hot summer day and I invited them to have dinner on my jetty. Only four days on Lofoten which is way too short...

Night time.

I left work two hours earlier to catch the afternoon ferry but the ferry was full and left a bit earlier. Then we had to wait 1,5 hours before next boat. But one funny thing was that I met Jørgen whom I had met 4 years earlier on Stetind (the first week after I moved to Lofoten and I meet two guys from Leknes at the summit of Stetind!) He actually lives in Trondheim but was here to visit family. Finally we arrived at Bunes and hiked up the trail. Cody pitched his tent and I left my backpack at our camping spot. We went up and made an attempt to climb a mountain but it was to difficult so we hiked up another peak, followed a nice ridge and went down to meet Christina. She came with the late boat. I just slept on a rock without my tent.

Day started out with strong winds and rain but still we went to Reine to borrow Merete's boat. She had a hangover from a party last night and we went to the cafe first to see if the wind would calm down which it did. And like magic it also stopped raining and weather was on our side. So we drove to Rostad since I have never been there before. So we went exploring, hiking up to the lake next to Segltind. This was a good day and I was home late.
