We picked a route which looked possible and we did a new one in 6 pitches. We rappelled down the chimney where the first ascent was made. This chimney was huge, wide and deep. It seems crazy that they went up here in july 1913 but those guys were bold (Eger, Lochan, Saxlund and Tønsberg). The morning after we went up Manntind and then we descended to wait for the boat.

Today I also took the bus from Ramberg to Reine, which was again 40 minutes delayed. Just before getting on the boat the was a call from Red Cross but I said I couldn't come. Then I would have to cancel my own project which I have also been wanting for so long. I had a bit bad conscious but relaying on that some of the others will take the assignment. (Which they did and I heard on sunday that it was a tourist which was lost around Sunbear lake. He was not even injured, just lost and afraid. The got a boat and picked him up so that's good). It was hot today and the backpack was heavy but all went according to plan and we set camp.

We had a slow morning today and as we came down in the valley again we made pancakes for lunch, then we hiked back to Å.

This morning was so beautiful. We made coffee and had cereals while waiting for the boat ride to take us back to Reine. Then we had a second breakfast with two friends visiting Ole, on the balcony and then we strolled around in Reine while I was waiting for Christina, Claudia and Tim which came in the afternoon. Then we drove to Å and went in Ågvatnet. We were supposed to go to Stokkvika but  everyone was a bit tired today and so we decided to camp up on the ridge since the view there is amazing. So we cooked dinner together while watching the fog filling up the valley. This was such a good night. Friendship is all that matters.

Finally. I've been wanting to do this one for a very long time. I got a ride with Karoline to Ramberg where I got on the bus (which was 45 min delayed) and then Ole met me in the harbour of Reine, where our ride was waiting for us. We got ashore and put most of our stuff down there. We arrived to the summit just before midnight and the light was magic. So amazing to see all the peaks from another angle. I think we came down just after 2 am. Set the tent and had a beer while looking at the silent fjord.

I did this hike with Claudia probably on one of the hottest days this summer. We tried to go here before to Bjørntind, but then clouds were really low and we couldn't see anything. Normally I always pack my first aid kit, but somehow today it was in another backpack and of course that's when it happens! She fell and got all scraped up. She called this a granny hike, since we were walking so slow uphill because the heat which we are not used to.

Today it was raining a bit, but not too much. Just before Leknes we turned different ways and said goodbye.
