We overslept...

Today we intended to go to Stamprevtinden but we actually slept too long, even I did. I woke up and there was light outside so I realized it was late. After breakfast we just about had time to head up the pass between Helvetestind and Stamprevtind. It was really beautiful up there looking down at Bunes beach on one side and Kjerkfjord on the other side. But we couldn't stay long since we had to catch the boat around 3 pm.

Kjerkfjorden

We had a plan and suddenly Andreas is not coming with us and there was only one bus which I couldn't reach but I was lucky enough to catch a ride with Kit Linda and her husband since they were taking the ferry to Værøy. They dropped me off at Ramberg and Martin just came from work and packed really fast, then we left and suddenly Andreas calls and says he is waiting at the quay in Reine. We came just 10 minutes before the boat casts off at 9.30 pm.

Visibility is not so good.
Camp fire.
We were heading up Brasråstindan, the highest of the twin peaks. Weather was good but it was a long walk out to Horseid and then up. We were really close to summit, maybe just one pitch but there was a lot of fog around the summit and hard to see which way to continue and suddenly dusk was upon us. Days are quite short now. So we decided to turn back down and it was a really long day. After 12 hours we were back at our tents.

Friday I went to a consert and it was really fun. I went alone but to my joy a met several people I knew. It was quite fun and the singer told everyone that he was so glad I came cycling "all the way" from Ballstadøya to see them play. On my way home I met Rebekka outside Surfer Bar. Saturday I was a bit weary but we went to Stamsund, up to Mannfallet and Steinetind. Then in the evening I went to a housewarming party at Haukland. I went with my neighbour Kristine and we picked up 3 more girls on the way. Rebekka told me that her and Lena plan to walk Norway from north to south in march. She has asked for abscence of leave for 5 months. I think that's really cool! Makes me happy when people do stuff like that and not just follow the wheel of squirrels all the time. Due to late nights we had a really late hike up to Brurstolbrura and suddenly this weekend was over...

Skottinden

I asked several friends but not one person wanted to come with me (our couldn't by various reasons) so I went on my own with my bike to Vetting and up to the summit. I thought it would clear up as I reached the summit at noon but visibility was not very good. Although it was a lovely hike in my own fabulous company, trying out my new Scarpa shoes. Then I went down again and on my way back home it got dark. I just had time to jump in the shower before I had a call that they were coming to pick me up really soon. I didn't have very long to figure out what to wear so just quick decisions, some mascara and grab a bottle of red wine before I went out the door. Heading for Merete's birthday party in Ramberg with 14 guests and I had a really good time!

Mengelsdalstinden 826 m

Friday I was really tired after working overtime again this week. But still we stick to our plan and left in the evening for Å. Walking along Ågvatnet to the windshield. The moon break through the clouds finally and stars were shining bright. We made dinner and went to sleep by 2 am. Then we went on a reconnaissance hike up to the Stokkvika ridge which we followed until Mendelsdalstinden and went down another way and walked back to Å. Since the forecast promised strong winds sunday morning we didn't want to stay. Instead we went to the climbing wall sunday and started on some new routes.

Stokkvika

Thursday me and Andreas arranged things before the friday event HalloVenn. We added some extra holds at the small climbing wall in Lekneshallen for the small kids and then we arranged 4 top ropes in the ceiling for climbing rope ladders and soda crates. Saturday we went to Stokkvika and stayed over in the small hut. Sunday we went to Fuglhuk, it was quite windy, a little rain and maybe not the best sight...

Heading back down to Yttresand.
