This evening we were practising in Alpinbakken and Stefan tried to show us some tips and tricks how to do it. I think we are making some proggress!

Preparations before Polarcup competition in our club. We are taking down all the holds, except from one route made by Andreas we will save as a memory. Then we have to wash them all and sort them. Then there will be build new routes during the rest of the week as we are closed until competition day.

Middagstind

 

Sunday and I went for a short hike with Martin.

Pilan

 

 

Finally I got my new (also used) skis delivered on monday at work. I went straight to Barth Sports with Martin to buy new shoes and skins. Now I am ready to try them out. So we went to Pilan but it was hard and icy so not very good for beginners. Me and Merete didn't go very high, then we made a few turns until it was to hard and steep so we had to take the skis off and walk down. I also had some problems with the bindings? and Sebastian tried to help me but I had to go to Skandinavisk Høyfjellsutstyr and drill a new hole on one of the skis...

A book about my friend

The book is finished! After making the book about my adventures with Andreas I realized I should make a book about someone who is still alive. So I made a book about my friend Annika and our adventures over 10 years. Maximum was 130 pages so in the end I didn't have space enough and had to just add small photos and no more text. But I am very satisfied with the book and she was very surprised and happy when she received the book. Which is good. Like a celebration of our friendship.

Sunday

Today it was snowing a lot as we woke up in Selfjord. We had breakfast and decided to go to Vikten and not go high since the visibility was not very good. But then the weather cleared and we had a look at this house which I have been passing so many times and been so curious about. I just love old houses which looks abandoned. So today I finally took a closer look at the house. I have never seen anyone around this house which looks like it needs some love and caring. This last "open hut" on Vikten reminded me of Andreas because we were there on a stormy day and had tea with freshly baked coconut scones. I remember this day very well. It was also quite cold and the wind was strong so we only made a short hike.

Adventures in the west

 

 

 

 

This weekend I went hiking with my best friend Gyda. We intended to go to Branntuva but it took some time to get the key in Ramberg, go to the hut and so we had a late start. So we stopped at Markan then we headed down back to the hut.

Middagstind

This is a fun little peak in good winter conditions. It was quite windy and somewhat hard and icy in the steep section. But a lovely day in good company and a lot of laughing.
