One step closer to the next dream trip

 

 

 

 

 

This is why I'm doing the hunting proficiency test (even though I am terrified of weapons) which is in five steps and today was part three shooting practice with both shotgun and rifle. There was still some light after practice so we went to Haugheia and Hornsheia.

Hiking in Valberg

 

 

 

 

Saturday came with strong winds and a huge amount of rain so I stayed inside most of the day. In the evening I went to Beate who invited all colleagues from work to eat king crab. That was fun. Tonight we set the clock back to winter time. Sunday we went hiking to Blåheia, Dalstuva and Trolldalstinden. We had sun, wind, rain and snow and some more rain. As we came down we had to put on our head torches since it became so dark and we didn't find the original path but we did find our way back anyway, it just took some time.

Me and Tommy went for a hike friday afternoon and came down in darkness just in time to reach the lecture with Stein P Aasheim.

Rainy season is here but we did a small hike to Verberget after work.

Rainy weekend

Friday I got a message if I wanted to try a new route indoors after work. And yes I did! Ulf made a new route today. Saturday we made one new route each. It was quite chaotic at Lofothallen since it was hundreds of kids playing soccer but what to do when the rain was pouring down but to build new routes? Sunday was a little better though so we did a long hike following a ridge to those peaks; Horgtinden - Nonstinden, Vårsetaksla and Medskolmen. It got dark as we came down to the old mountain road where we started our roundtrip.

Narvtinden

 

Today we started a bit earlier. Weather was fine until 1 pm then came the rain. But we were expecting it and we were on our way down so it was fine. Narvtinden was really beautiful. Last time I was here (in march) we turned around just below the lower summit because it was not safe. Then we headed home to Hattvika.

We had a look at the traverse Litljordtind to Kjerringa but it was too much rain so we didn't do it. We also tried to find a way down Litljorddalen but it was not possible, maybe on a dry day we could do it. So after a few hours we went back to Selfjordhytta.
