This morning we went for a morning stroll around Slottsmölland. I was meeting Annika for lunch at an indian restaurant before she went to work and in the evening we met Agnieszka. Since today is Rebecca's birthday we had dinner at Söderfamiljen. Rain was pouring down on our way there. Good food and great drinks. Then we went to the quiz at Fox and Anchor.

This morning we had a quick trip to Falkenberg and then on the way home we stopped at this farm to pick some corn and other lovely vegetables.

Råå

 





Yesterday I came to Helsingborg. I met with Nina, A and the kids. We went to barbecue at Råå beach which was really nice. This morning we had a swim and then a really nice breakfast. After that we met Ragnar and E who wanted to drive a sort of "bike car" so we did that and then went for a walk in the woods. In the evening I took the train back to Halmstad.

This morning we went swimming and then we had breakfast. After that we leaved for Kullaberg where we also went swimming twice. It was such a hot day. Then Lucie left me in Helsingborg since she was participating in some competition. Nina came and we went to the beach in Råå to have a barbecue with A and the kids.

Change of plans

 

 

 

Yesterday we decided that I am going earlier to Sweden and Cody is going back home. So I took the bus to Halmstad with Rebecca and the day after I went to Båstad to visit my dear friend Lucie! We took a long walk and then she went swimming. After this we went back to her place and talked and talked and had dinner and watched a movie. We had a lot of catching up to do.

Today we went to some record stores, then we went to the park with the wonderful sculptures. We also tried ethiopian food at Lalibela which was good but the place was not very cozy. Then we went to the roof of the Opera house before going back to the apartment.

The Vigeland Park is the world's largest sculpture park made by a single artist

The unique sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's lifework with more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. Vigeland was also in charge of the design and architectural layout of the park. The Vigeland Park was mainly completed between 1939 and 1949.

Most of the sculptures are placed in five units along an 850 meter long axis: The Main gate, the Bridge with the Children's playground, the Fountain, the Monolith plateau and the Wheel of Life.

Back to Oslo

 

 

 

 

Today we went to have a look around in Oslo and in the evening we all went to Izakaya for food and drinks. This place is awesome, you can order different small dishes and amazing drinks based on saké. It's small and cozy, this is where I would want to bring all my friends to on my birthday and have too many drinks (if I lived nearby). Love this place!

We have been looking at this mine since we first saw it the day we came wanting to go up here...even if it's not actually allowed to go up here. But I am too curious and can't stay away. Mine 2 b was in operation between 1937 and 1968. Now it is a protected cultural heritage. Also today is our last day here on Svalbard. I would want to come back in winter time. Later today we are flying back to Oslo to stay with Terje and Anne Marit and Rebecca is also coming!
