Today we went climbing at Storsandnes after work. Then we went to Cody's house in Myrland and had a barbecue. I got home somewhat late but we had such a nice evening.

Midsummer night on Solbjørn

The valley.
Heading up.
Some walking in between
We had to go down again from this.
Summit at midnight 742 m
Photo: Cody Duncan

We are at the summit!
Heading down again.
This mountain took us 11 hours in total. There was some climbing mostly slabs and some steep grass sections and we came up just before midnight. Then it took us ages to come down again with some lowering and some difficult part in the end and also the rope got stuck. I think we came down at 5 am. Went to Cody's house in Myrland and made some food and I had one beer. I've been going now for 24 hours and my mind is not working anymore. So tired...

Heimredalsblåtind

Today we went to this mountain which is really cool. Per has made a new box for the box. The other one was lost so we took down the book in november last year to dry it since it was solid frozen in ice. But now I went there with Per and Tina and the book is back in it's place.

One must always make a cozy fire.
Night hiking in the summer night.

Next morning around 9.
Time for coffee.
Eggs for breakfast.
Exploring the other side.
Me and Gyda carrying.
Happy but wet.

After work we packed our things and left for Haukland. We paddled out from the beach towards the small island Tåa. We pitched our tents and made a fire. At night we decided to go up to the highest peak of this island. We came up at 2 am. Then we went down and probably went to sleep at 3 am. The next morning we had breakfast and then explored the island a bit more. Clouds were low and it started to rain. A man named Isak moved to this island in 1820 with his wife and they had two daughters. The survived by fishing and also had a few goats. It is said that when Isak was lying in his death bead, the sea fell so much that it was possible to walk over to mainland....

Heading home

It's saturday and I took the train to Oslo. I had to call and have them send my luggage to Gardermoen airport instead. To my luck Terje was home so I could stay over and he made dinner fit for a queen. Lucky me. (I'll be back soon) Sunday I got up early and headed for the airport. My luggage still haven't arrived but at least it is in Sweden. I got home in the afternoon and my neighbour came to pick me up. Tomorrow it's time for work again. It's a hot summer day in Lofoten and I am happy to be back.

Back to Sweden

La Paz to Lima
Pisco Lucuma and Pisco sour.
Wandering around.
Ceviche.
More ceviche and beer.
Beer and giant corn for last peruvian soles
Since we had 11 hours to kill in Lima we took a bus to the city, that is me, Mark and Michael. We had a look around the city and then I had to try pisco and ceviche, then we had coffee and cake and then we went to another place and had more ceviche and beer. Then took a cab to the airport and waited for our flight to Amsterdam where we said goodbye to Frank and Michael since they were flying to Stockholm. We finally arrived in Gothenburg the following day with 4 missing luggages...Vera came to pick us up and I stayed the night at Jonn and Vera's place.

Sorata - La Paz

Dinner in Sorata - we are really hungry.
On our way back to La Paz.

Small village on the way.
Jonn and Henrik trying local food.
La Paz - third most populous city.
It lies in a valley down at 3700 m.
Amazing pizza for late lunch.
Coffee at the swedish café.
Shopping like a tourist.
View from our nice hostel.
Cat lady on the bridge.
Dressed up cat.
Dinner with Jonn and Mark.
Last dinner in La Paz.
I got up at 06.15 almost packed everything. We had breakfast at Maruja´s then left Sorata heading up the winding road for La Paz. Our bus driver was a bit tired so we stopped in a small village to get him some coffee. Then he bought some coca leaves which he was chewing on the way to La Paz. I bought some bread and bolivian cupcakes. It took about 4 hours then we found our hostel which was really nice. We left our things and headed straight out into the city since we needed to change some dollars and we were starving. I went for pizza with Mark, Jonn and Henrik. The others went somewhere else.  Then we had coffee at a swedish café (!) which was really cozy. We also met Elin, who started this café so we chatted with her for a while. Then I went shopping with Jonn and Henrik at the tourist street. Later in the evening I went for dinner with Mark and Jonn. The others were impatient and couldn't wait so we went different places. Then I lost Mark and Jonn so eventually I went back to the hostel at 9 pm. I went to bed with my book since we anyway need to get up at 4 am for our flight tomorrow.
