Basecamp Djupfjord

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday:
It's friday and today I did only 2 hours overtime! Went home to pack then off to Djupfjord and pitched the tent. Midnight sun made us stay up late and I had a look at "Svenskeveggen" (The swedish wall) before we called it a night probably around 2 am.

Saturday:
Finally today I am going to climb Bare Blåbær (a classic Lofoten multipitch) which I have thought about for a long long time. Now finally the snow and ice is gone and it is more than 3 degrees! It was quite cold today especially when the windgusts came but we also had a little sunshine. It was a nice little route. Two other rope teams arrived after us. We lowered down and tried to find a place that was somewhat sheltered of the wind. We had something to eat before we went down to our basecamp again. We had a short look around in Henningsvær and caught an artist in action. We thought it was Mr Hmm but found out later that it was actually Pøbel. We collected some firewood and made a campfire.
