Unexpected events

Today is my last day at work. Monica made a delicious Pavlova cake for this day and I picked the blueberries to go on top. We had a plan to do a last hike at Store Kågtind. The weather forecast promised good weather with some clouds and no rain but this time they were actually wrong. We met one hour after work to have pizza down at the harbour. Me, two doctors and a swedish nurse. Then we went to Kågen and it was fog and rain over there so I proposed we go to Høgfjellet instead and so we did. Up the path leading through the woods (eating blueberries along the way) in to the valley and then we started going up the mountain, after a while Nenad wanted to go down again because it was too steep and told us to continue but we all went down together. Had some more blueberries on the way down because there were a lot and they are so tasty. Then we found chanterelles, a lot and more and more and we left with two bags of chanterelles. So we all went home to David, fried them with some onion and had these with toast and red wine. Even six persons couldn't eat all those chanterelles so I guess David will have those for breakfast and lunch before going to work tomorrow! Then we went down to the local pub 30 minutes before closing time. We were invited to after party but I declined and went home at 3 am. Mike had been driving all day and night and will be here in two hours. Pretty soon I was fast asleep and then Mike called at 5 am and he was outside!
