Ice cream and stockfish

Mike was sleeping on the couch and I went to the store for bananas and came home with ice cream for breakfast. I know he likes it and this morning I needed one too. I think it was around 10 am and if it were up to Mike he would be sleeping all day but I'm not gonna let him! He told me about the trip so far and then we had blueberry smoothie with nettle and maca. Then we went over to Sissel to say goodbye. Her husband and Knut-Arne were in the middle of a reconstruction work at the house. They offered some coffee and then stockfish. I tried just a little tiny bit but I don't like it. They are eating it like snack but the proper way is with beer and not coffee we were told. I do like raw food but this is not really my kind...

Then we went to pick up my bike where I left it yesterday and then Mike was sending a postcard and we went to Skattøra, had picnic in the sun with the best view over Kågen. Filled a can with crowberries before we went to Rema and home. We had more ice cream and berries before I started my packing. Tomorrow we are off to Alta!

I'd rather have a cookie...

Stockfish is unsalted fish, especially cod, dried by cold air and wind on wooden racks on the foreshore, called "hjell". The drying of food is the world's oldest known preservation method, and dried fish has a storage life of several years. Stockfish is Norways longest sustained export commodity and is extremely popular and widely consumed in catholic mediterranean countries, notably Italy.
