Heading for LA

We were leaving at 7 am from Paso Robles to Morro Bay. Otters are as clever as they are cute. We saw them floating in the water.
Morro rock is one of the "Seven Sisters" - unique little mountains called morros that run between Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. In 1969 Morro Rock was registered as a historical landmark. The rock is also a bird sanctuary and a favourite place for sea otters, surfers, and sun bathers.

We got ourselves some breakfast in Morro Bay; matcha latte, coffee, cocktail tomatoes, hummus and some bread. And not to forget MANGO my favourite food which is never this good where I live and also bloody expensive.

Then we stopped at Madonna Inn for a coffee just to see the place. I also would love to stay here. All the rooms have a different theme. And the restaurant is all in pink.

The Madonna Inn is a motel in San Luis Obispo, California. Opened for business in 1958,  it quickly became a landmark on the central coast of California. The Inn was created by Alex Madonna, a successful construction magnate and entrepreneur, and his wife Phyllis. The well-known motor inn, which includes a restaurant and bakery, is prominently located on the west side of route 101. In 1966, the Inn's original units were burned to the ground in a dramatic fire. It reopened a year later, and by the end of the decade, all of the rooms had been rebuilt in the unique and ornate style they are known for today. The property is adorned with a pseudo-swiss-Alps exterior and lavish common rooms accented by pink roses, western murals and hammered copper. Each of the 110 guest rooms and suites is uniquely designed and themed.

We also had a look at the "danish village" Solvang before we arrived at our destination.

Solvang has a rich danish heritage. Founded by danish immigrants in 1911, Solvang boasts authentic architecture, thatched roofs, old-world craftsmanship and traditional windmills. Named by Sunset magazine as one of the "10 Most Beautiful Small Towns in the western United States". To preserve and promote danish culture, the founders constructed a Danish folk school and church. Over 1 million visitors come each year to experience the northern European culture, cuisine, and unique botique shopping. The feature film "Sideways" was filmed in Solvang and hightligted the regions celebrated world-class wines.

In Silverlake, Los Angeles where we had a host named Adam. We stayed at this place called "The chandelier tree" which was really cool.
