Heading for the mountains

Don't go here. Worst breakfast.
Packing.
Packing.
Farewell Copacabana.
Dead lama fetus for sale...
Witches market in La Paz
Jonn and Mark setting up camp.
Basecamp 4478 m.
Today we thought breakfast at 7 am but no staff at the hotel so we went out. We got old dry toasted bread with butter and one scramble egg. Coffee was horrible. Juice was horrible. But the egg was quite good actually. Then we packed the van and left for La Paz where we picked up our gas supply and the other two guys and had a quick lunch. Actually I had an amazing pizza with tons of basil! La Paz is situated down in a valley as low as 3700 m. One of the most bizarre things is lama fetus for sale. They are used as offering for the goddess Pachamama. It is said to prevent accidents, give profit to business and overall happiness in the future. It is often the poor who sacrifices lama fetuses, the rich people are expected to sacrifice a live lama. It is said that under 99 % of all the buildings in La Paz there is a fetus buried... First camp at 4478 and here comes headache again...we made tea and I had noodles. I am sharing tent with Henrik. It's dark already at 6 pm.
