Maursund

Kågen - and the road to Maursundtind

I took the bike to Maursund because the weather was nice and I wanted to see if I could find the trail that leads up to Maursundtind. I also learned that there is a gravel road around the Kågentunnel and that made me so happy! I will never ever go through that tunnel again. I met Lutz (from Germany) and asked him about the trail, he didn't know so I went on and met a man who was painting his garage. He had seen me at the doctor's office and he knew where the trail was at least up to the valley. He said that very few people go up there and mostly in the winter. But he told me there is a book. Then I went back and it started raining. Then I met Lutz again and he said he made some calls about this (everyone gets so committed) and told me to come inside and he would give me name and number to some people that knew the mountain really well. Lutz and his wife Eva offered me some coffee. I said no thanks, I better get going but I got coffee anyway! I had no saying in the matter. I had a nice ride back home and the sun was almost coming through!
