*Drakkar-Leviathan is a story about the sea, about people migration, myths, ships, historical events, wood and whales. It is an anthem to the Arctic, nature and human. This sculpture was built by a team from Arkhangelsk / Severodvinsk on this desolate rock on Vardø island, 2016.

*Steilneset Memorial, Vardø.During the European witch-hunts of the 17th century, more people were convicted of sorcery and burned at the stake in eastern Finnmark than anywhere else in Norway. Steilneset Memorial is located close to the presumed execution site. This 135 metre long memorial hall contains 91 plaques, one for each victim sentenced to death for witchcraft and burnt at the stake at Steilneset between 1600 and 1692. The written text are based on the original court records from the witch trials.
