Today we got up early to get on the bus at 7 to Madona hoping to get our bikes on the bus. Sometimes they say no but this time we were lucky. In Madona we found a bakery, I was hungry since I didn't have breakfast yet. No coffee though so we went to a nice park where we made our own coffee and dried some clothes (that we washed yesterday but didn't get dry). Then we were at the tourist information and after that we went to look for the highest hill in Latvia. It was a really hot day but then it wasn't that easy to find this hill. No signs until just below the hill. Another gravel road from hell where we had to lead our bikes, then another kind of tractor road until we found the "ski resort" which was closed for the winter. We took some photos and celebrated with a beer before trying to get out of there. We took another road from there which also was really bad, some parts we could cycle really slow but every time a car was passing there was a cloud of dust that covered us. It was really hot and Annika had some problems with her front rack which she fixed temporary somehow. Then we found an old abandoned farm where we camped just as the last rays of the sun came over us. This was nice. Really cool place.
