Wow. Cody woke me up to see this.
It's really cool because we met one of the ancestors to the people who lived in that house. This guy is living in Oslo and comes here every summer. Today there are no residents on the west side of Moskenesøya but until about 1950 people still lived there. The trip was arduous and took about three hours by brisk walking. In winter it was not possible to go over the mountain, and they were isolated from the world. After the second world war they got telephone connection. From 1937 there was a battery-powered radio, hidden for the Germans during the war, but the farm never got electricity.
