Bodø

 So I arrived at the hostel in Bodø shortly after unloading my bike. Then I took the train at noon going south...

Ready for new adventures in the south

 

Today I quit work 2 hours earlier. I went home to go through my packing once more. Then I took the bus to Leknes at 7 pm. I went to Peppes to have pizza and a beer and to meet Gunnar. I thought I was taking the bus just before 10 pm but then I realized that they just changed the busroutes two days earlier...this is insane, that bus is no longer! I had to take a taxi to make it to Stamsund in time for departure. 400 NOK, a bit more expensive than the bus but what can you do. I also had to load the bike really fast and then buy ticket. Too many people everywhere and I was tired so finally I went to sleep on deck. It was windy but I was ok in my sleeping bag. Didn't sleep that well but at least I could  rest and listen to music and then the waves.

Today we hiked to Støvla and set up our tents. Then we made dinner while waiting for the sunset.

Friday on my mind

 

 

 

Today I left work at 12 and got on the bus at 12.15 heading west! In Ramberg I teamed up with Cody and Justyna. She dropped us off at Sørvågen. It was a really hot summer day and we hiked to Munkebu and then trying to find the french route up to Moldtind where we camped this night.

Today we hiked to peak 492 and then Nonstind and then we were thinking one more but we were too tired (at least I was in bad shape this afternoon) so we just went down the trail to Selfjord and later we had some pizza...

We set camp up at the pass where we thought we would be alone but many people came up and then went down again. A french couple came up and camped there too. When there is just so much space!?? Justyna came later from Selfjord and joined us.

It was a bit wet today but it stopped raining as we left around 8.30 am. Only 8 of us were going up today. Most people are going back with the boat at 3 pm. Cody had slept just by the summit and he was now coming down with us. As we were going down the sky cleared und sun came out. We said goodbye to the others and then me, Cody, Lene and Per went back down to our basecamp. I packed my tent and we had something to eat in the sun. Then we went separate ways. Lene and Per to Horseid beach and me and Cody were struggling up to the pass above Fageråvatnet...
