We made a short hike after work. Days are still quite short but we had time to do this before it got dark which is wonderful.

I spent the night on the sofa with Gyda, her mom and brother. We made lasagna. This was due to the fact that I had to get up 04.30 am and we left Leknes at 5 am. We were taking the ferry at 7 but the time table was different as we arrived. We tried to call the number to the ferry several times to make sure there actually was a ferry departure, but no answer so we had to drive around, which was a bit longer. But as we arrived Jan offered us coffee which was really nice. This was a cooperation between Lofoten (me) and Vesterålen Fjellsportgruppe (Jan). Me and Jan had this hike (even though I haven't been on this peak before) but it all went well except that one girl had to stop before the steep section due to the fact that she borrowed crampons which doesn't fit her shoes, and she didn't try them before she left unfortunately. Spikes were not enough on this hike. But she was ok with it. At first we were supposed to stay overnight in lavvo but the two girls I went with wanted to go home and so I had to go as well.

Today was a beautiful day and we all went skiing Hellostind. As we came down we went to a cafe before the others returned to Austvågøya. Me and Stefan went to see the cars racing on the ice outside Evjen then a short stop at Eggum before going home.

This was the first time we arranged Polarcup here in Leknes at Vest-lofoten Klatreklubb and it was fun. We had participants from Svolvær, Narvik, Hamarøy, Harstad and one or two more clubs.
