Hiking trip to Veggen just after work.

Narvtinden

 

Today we started a bit earlier. Weather was fine until 1 pm then came the rain. But we were expecting it and we were on our way down so it was fine. Narvtinden was really beautiful. Last time I was here (in march) we turned around just below the lower summit because it was not safe. Then we headed home to Hattvika.

We had a look at the traverse Litljordtind to Kjerringa but it was too much rain so we didn't do it. We also tried to find a way down Litljorddalen but it was not possible, maybe on a dry day we could do it. So after a few hours we went back to Selfjordhytta.

Selfjordhytta

 

It's friday and I'm all packed to leave right after work to Munkebu! But things did not go according to plan...we arrived at Matkroken Sørvågen and imagine our surprise when they no longer have the key to Munkebu. It's in the town hall of Reine where it usually is during summer but never the rest of the year. The town hall is also very closed by now. So we called Svenn Arne who was going to Selfjord. He said we could have his key and he could meet us in Fredvang. So we went back but decided to stay at Selfjordhytta instead. Otherwise we had to go back to Sørvågen again and it would be dark already as we start hiking to Munkebu. He was going to the same hut for "dugnad" which is a norwegian tradition that represents a way of solving local, common task by means of collective efforts from the community. In this case it was woodcutting. There were 5 men showing up. We stayed in the small hut.

After work we went to meet up with Martin in Ramberg and headed for Stabben again. This time we tried another way but light was too short so we stopped where the climbing starts. We will be back again soon.

Course weekend

Thursday me and Ulf went to climb a little and then we took down some old routes to make room for new ones. Friday the first part was how to build an interesting route. We all made one route each but with very different style and grade. I came straight after work and it was hard work on my partly overhanging route, I was too tired and didn't finish mine on friday so Gudmund finished it saturday before we started next part. Exercise and endurance. After class was finished we went to Surfer Bar to   see som photo slides and hear the lecture. Eline were staying over at my place so we had two beers before we got a ride home with Tora and Jenny. Sunday we went with Kjartan since Eline left her car in Leknes. Sunday was a day of hard workout. It was a really intense weekend but very interesting.
