Narvtind

We left early morning from Ballstad. Today the light was amazing and kept changing to dark skies at the end of the day. We were aiming for a new peak where I haven't been, Ole knew this place since he grew up her, but as we came to a narrow ridge with snow he didn't want to go there. So he and Merete turned around and we continued to explore but didn't end up going to the actual goal but another one which was really cool and then up Narvtind from another new angle. Such a beautiful day.

Tonight we have this social event for people who want's to become a tour leader in our DNT Fjellsport group. Some of those who came might be potential new tour leaders next year. Time will tell.

An ordinary day

 

 

Today came a lot of snow, but I am prepared with winter tires. Me and Simon were on duty in the climbing gym tonight. Little Siri was also there climbing and then doing other things while waiting for her brother playing football and mom climbing.

Today there was a football game and really strong wind som me and KA went to the climbing gym and built two new routes which was a lot of fun.

This morning it was raining heavily. We went to put up some posters around Austvågøy. Then bought a print from Ida Larmo, lunch at the climbing café in Henningsvær. They have the most amazing veggie burger. Suddenly the rain stopped and the wind took over. Then we went hiking.

Heading home

It's sunday and unfortunately we need to leave this magic place.
After we came down from the mountain we saw a really strong rainbow as we shared a golden cake...

Breitind

 

 

Today we left for Breitind which is a new peak where I have never been so I am very excited. Weather kept changing from wind, hail, snowstorm and in between some stillness. So it was an adventurous day, long an strenuous hike, a lot of up and down, we also rappelled a short section on our way back. As we came back to the hut it was empty, the american girl had left and also the danish couple. So we have the hut all to ourselves! We made fire and hang our wet clothes to dry. Then we were ready for dinner and some red wine. Such a marvellous day!

Munkebu

Today we picked up the key in Reine and headed for Munkebu. There was an american girl who stayed there for one week. And we met two guys in tights and joggingshoes who thought they were going to Hermannsdalstind!?! Without proper clothing and no food or water...but luckily the came to senses and realized that maybe it wasn't such a good idea. We went up Munkan and then turned around just below the peak of Veinestind. Then back to the hut for dinner.

Visit from the south

 

 

Today my dear friend Sigvald came to visit. I met him at the airport by noon and we went to Ballstad first, then we hiked up Stornappstind. Tomorrow we will go further west.
