Today we woke up and made coffee, fried eggs and bread. Then we wanted to go ashore on Tennes, but there were two weird men shouting so we decided to skip it and went to Engelsneset where there was a beautiful old white house. Weather is getting rougher. We had a hot cup of tea before we went to Rostad for a quick stop. Then we went back to Veines to pack all our stuff and headed back to Reine in the wind.

Time to explore

Today we slept quite long and then had a slow breakfast with many cups of tea. Merete doesn't drink coffee and I forgot to bring. But now we are just waiting for Gyda to show up around the corner and I know she always has coffee. We unloaded the kayaks then packed everything while there suddenly was a quarrel with the neighbour renting next to her. I waved happily to him when he came driving but then he came over angry and mad about her having friends parking there and using the road. Such a crazy fellow indeed. Anyway finally we got going and said goodbye to Merete. Such a beautiful day! We headed over to Veines and there were the cutest houses ever. We made coffee (!) and had something to eat then left our packing and went over to Bunes and over to the beach. As we headed back the wind was stronger so we had to struggle a bit and it was not easy to get a shore, at least not with mine but we made it. Then found a good tent spot and cooked dinner. This is the good life!

Today me and Merete left Ballstad and headed for Reine. We packed our stuff in the house and had a beer while waiting for Martin to pick us up. We could of course have walked but it's kind of a gloomy  night windy and rainy, and we are kind of dressed up for the concerts tonight. It was a fun night with some beers, meeting friends and good music. Martin left at midnight since he has to work tomorrow morning. We were lucky and got a ride home later. Then we were chatting in her sofa before we eventually went to bed and I must have fallen asleep just as I lay my head on the pillow...

Today we went to Slydalen and made dinner on the fire. This is a brilliant way to meet when everyone is so busy, but you still need to eat so why not together in the great outdoors?

Sunday

 

 

After breakfast we went exploring around the island and then we went back to where we started. We made some coffee before heading home again.

Me and Gyda went to Vikarøa and set camp over there. People used to live here until 1958.
