Smørdalskammen

 

 

 

Today we had a beautiful hike to Smørdalskammen and Kylpesnestind. Janett lost her car keys so she had to go back down and look for them.

Christmas

Day before christmas I went hiking to Ballstadheia. It was snowing so in between I didn't see much but then it cleared again. It's winter wonderland on the islands. Claudia made me the sweetest cookies which I had for breakfast on christmas together with swedish xmas coffee. In the afternoon I went to ST. Me, ST and PE made pizza

Skiing with Gyda

Today we went up Slydalen passing Blåtind and Kartstaven. We didn't go to summit since it was snowing heavily and there was not much visibility. We continued and we actually managed to go in a small circle then it cleared and we could see the lights from down in Leknes. We found the shelter and stopped for some food. Then we continued to Hagskaret where Gyda's brother picked us up. The trip took six hours and I came with Gyda to the stables before going home for a hot shower. Such a wonderful day.

Day off and it was a beatiful day. We were looking at a climbing project but it was snowing so much that visibility was not the best so we just had a look at the approach and then returned to the cave for some hot drinks and food.

Back to the north

Today I am heading home. It feels really good to be back at the islands. And it's winter wonderland here! This is the place to be.

Heading for Oslo

 

Today we made a saffron cake. Mange came and we went over to My and had some tea (since she was out of coffee!!) then I waved goodbye and went to the bus. I arrived Oslo by 8 pm and then took the next bus to Terje and Anne Marit where they had dinner in the making. I am a lucky girl to have these good friends.

Today we went to my old climbing gym which was really fun. I haven't been there for years and it has grown even bigger. Today was julboulder so it was crowded, but we could still climb some rope. Or at least they could, I had to belay everyone. But I also tried some fun boulders.

This morning we had coffee, then took the train, bus and ferry to Hönö. A lof of emotions. Not much to say. Sonia drove us to the train station in Mölndal where we took the train back to Strawtown. I am so glad that this day soon is over.

So today I was traveling south and all three flights were delayed. Nina met me in Copenhagen. Things did not go according to plan but I guess that's ok. We had some good indian food and Cobra beer then we went to a bar nearby before taking the train and boat to Sweden, where I almost was not allowed to enter since I didn't bring a passport....
