It was nearly 2 am as we came down.

Today we were celebrating Svein-Tore's 50th birthday. I think it was close to 6 pm as we went up. There was a lot of fog but it cleared later so it was really beautiful. What a lovely mixed bunch of people going up there. We made fire and there was A LOT of cake, too much actually. Then we went up Kangerurtind, 704 m. I didn't get to bed until 3 am....but what a lovely way to spend your birthday, only mine is in february so it will be a lot colder.

When I finished work it had just been raining and all was wet. Then the sun came out and it all dried up so I went climbing with Jonas at 7 pm. Just what we needed after an intense day at work.

We took a trip to Sørvågen and hiked up two peaks. Then Tommy had to head back to be a viking again tonight.

Gjermesøya

 

Final day for the youth group was outdoor at Gjermesøya. Not everyone came but those who were there seemed to enjoy it. And it was a perfect day for being outdoors!

Today we went down to Sørvågen, then we had a coffee in Reine before they dropped me off at Hamnøya and went home. It took me 2,5 hours to get to the end of the fjord and find myself a tent spot. I wanted explore more but I was tired after walking the trail up and down. Actually the most important was to have a closer look at Klokktind. There is a route here which is possible without rope according to a story from my late friend Håkon. But I wouldn't wanna try on my own and I'll probably bring a rope anyway, just in case because it doesn't look that easy...

Today I was all packed and ready so I took the bus just after work to Ramberg where Cody and Justyna picked me up. We went to Sørvågen and up the trail towards Støvla. The main plan was to camp behind Støvla but somehow we lost the trail around 600 m up. Me and Cody tried the snow chute. He took some pictures up there and I went up the closest nearby peak just to have a look and it was to steep to go down this way. So we went down to find a tent spot with a nice looking view. Then I saw the trail but on top of this trail were huge snow / ice blocks that threatened to come down and crush me so I won't go up there at least not this time.

Andstabben

 

Today I woke up to the face of Roald Amundsen, then we had breakfast and left for Å. We found the trail to Andstabben and went up there. When we came down we went to see if the bakery was still open. It just opened for the season (Lofoten are now again full of campers) and we were so lucky they still had cinnamon rolls, only because of a bus that ordered and never showed up. Love those fluffy cinnamon rolls! Then we had to head home because Tommy has to appear at a viking blot later this evening...
